The fenaco cooperative, together with various research partnerships including ETH Zurich, Agroscope and HAFL, is committed to achieving an innovative and competitive Swiss agro and food industry. The scientific institutions make an important contribution to advancing pure research and strengthening Swiss practice economically and ecologically. fenaco, for its part, supports farmers with the development of their enterprises and facilitates innovations for its own business activity as well as for the whole of the Swiss agricultural and food industry.
The fenaco cooperative operates in four business fields: Agro, Food Industry, Retail Trade and Energy. Its most important enterprises and brands include feedstuffs producer UFA, fertilizer trader LANDOR, drinks producer RAMSEIER, meat processor Ernst Sutter, retailers Volg and LANDI, and energy supplier AGROLA. The fenaco cooperative has its head office in Bern, employs some 10,000 staff and workers, and, in 2016, achieved a net revenue of 5,94 billion Swiss francs.
